I've found that a majority of the weight loss occurs in Month 3 - you really do become a fat burning machine. Watch your sodium intake as this can make you bloated and demoralize you as you wonder why you don't lose weight. Starting at the end of Month 1, I cheat every 14 days with a cheat meal just to kick start my metabolism. I've done the same diet all 4 times I've done the program. Black Widows and Fire Drills are shorter, about half an hour. The typical workouts for me, when factoring in starting with ab work, then doing the HAEs, and then the circuits, take about 50-60 minutes. If you feel the need to do extra afterward and are not at the 5 alarm level, then you need to go up an alarm level. For that reason I always do ab work BEFORE the shred workouts - because if you do them after, you will be tired and be more likely not to do ab work because you are wiped out. If you do it right you will have zero desire to do extra cardio after these workouts, you will be too tired. You sandbagged, or half assed it, or just lolly gagged it. If you want to do extra cardio after these workouts, you didn't work out hard enough. I've done shred 3 times at the 5 alarm level, currently going through it my 4th time. It hasn't been necessary for progress but it might be since I'm more advanced now. Lastly, how long does a typical cut take for you guys? I'm gonna try to intermittent fast (as long as I can keep my energy up) and start in a slight deficit but I don't exactly count my calories. Will I have time for some extra cardio and abs after the workouts? Does anyone have any thoughts or tips on how to do that?Īlso, how long does a typical workout take. I expect to lose some amount of strength and muscle but want to mitigate that as much as possible. So my question is about Max Shred, I already own the program but I was waiting until the right time to get into it. Also, my joints are aching so I think that's my body telling me to take a break. Partly because I just need a change of pace and I'm looking to shed some fat from what has been essentially a year long bulk (not a dirty bulk by not exactly a clean one either). So I want to switch it up again and get back into my first fitness love, which is Athlean X. I've been training heavy for about a year: I started with Monster Maker last year, then I've done several of the other Jeff's (Jeff Nippard) programs and saw big increases in strength and size. I hope everyone is staying on their goals as best they can. Also, your question has probably been asked before, please consider searching past posts to see if you concern has already been addressed.
